Hound's Tongue Fern, Whatipu
Plants, ferns: Hound's Tongue Fern, Whatipu
In Maori it is called kowaowao, which means to overgrow or choke. I found two Latin names for it, Phymatosorus pustulatum, and Microsorum pustulatum. It's growing in the mouth of the Pararaha Valley.
