Birds, forest: Kea: Bob the Kea at St Arnaud general store
The kea, Nestor notabilis, is a parrot found in the sub-alpine and alpine regions of the Southern Alps. Roughly 46 cm in length, it is quite intelligent and inquisitive and 'teenage' kea are prone to causing mischief with their rather large and useful beak and claws.
