Wrasse: Spotty
Underwater, fish: Wrasse: Spotty
Notolabrus celidotus or Paketi. This one is a female, distinguished by the black spot on the side of her body. They're quite ubiquitous and at Goat Island they often come over to see what's going on. At night they hang out on the bottom in mucus cocoons. They start out female and turn male at about 3 or 4 years old. Spotties grow up to 26cm long.
