White Island: Ruins of the old sulphur factory
Determined attempts were made to mine the sulphur. One ended when the men and factory were buried in an eruption (only the cat survived), and the second couldn't sustain financial viability in the corrosive environment. The reinforcing steel in the concrete is swelling and breaking it apart.
