Rubus cissoides, or tataramoa, in flower. This is a climbing vine whose leaves and stems are studded with sharp, curved hooks. It's not much fun to meet in the bush, but the flowers are lovely. It's from the same genus as the blackberry and the fruits are apparently edible.
